Mohamed Salah equaled Didier Drogba this Saturday as the top African scorer in the Premier with a dream goal, with which he reached 104 goals. In the 0-5 against Watford, Sadio Mané scored his 100th goal in the Premier League becoming the third African to reach that figure, after the aforementioned Drogba and Salah. On Tuesday Atlético host Liverpool in the Champions League.
On Vicarage Road, Salah slipped stepping on the ball between 3 Watford players, with a feint he dropped Cathcart and crossed the ball to Ben Foster’s far post. Eight goals and 4 assists has Salah in the 8 games played in the Premier.
But it wasn’t Salah’s only genius against Watford, in which Claudio Ranieri debuted. Mané took advantage of a great assist with the outside of the Egyptian foot to be a centenary in goals in the Premier. Not only that: it is the third in the history of the English championship to do so without taking penalties (after Les Ferdinand and Emile Heskey).
With these 100 goals, Mané is the third African on the list of top gunners in the Premier League, behind only Drogba, who in his Chelsea career achieved 104, and Salah, the same number at Liverpool.
