This is the classification of First and this is how it would be without the VAR

The Real Sociedad will continue one more day occupying the first place of the classification after beating Celta 1-4. Real Madrid follows closely, with 14 points, two less than Imanol's, and Atlético is third. In the lower zone are Levante, Huesca and Valladolid.

The eighth day has been quieter in terms of arbitration controversies compared to the previous ones. The VAR has intervened four times. The first was at Osasuna-Atlético to signal a hand, involuntary but in an unnatural position, from Oier within the area and that after a review on the monitor, a penalty was awarded. João smashed it into the vine of the stick. Technology also entered Betis-Elche, but in an action that left everyone surprised. They called him for a possible penalty by hand that the referee had not seen, but he did not end up signaling it for a previous offside.

In the other two actions that the VAR entered it was for actions of red. In Granada-Levante, the Nazarís were left with one less at the quarter of an hour from the start because the yellow that Gonalons saw became red. The reverse happened in Mestalla. Figueroa gave up after passing through the monitor and lowered the punishment to Arrambarri from red to yellow.
