Dominic Thiem made it clear, during his appearance at the ATP Finals in London after losing against Andrey Rublev, that he seamlessly supports the ATP, such as Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, among others, in the face of the appearance of a new players' organization, the PTPA, founded by Novak Djokovic and whose followers include tennis players such as Vasek Pospisil, his deputy, Diego Schwartzman and Pablo Carreño.
The Austrian made it clear when asked: “I honestly like what ATP is doing. I think overall they are doing a great job.” The number three in the world added that he does not see the existence of the PTPA necessary and that he does not intend to join the newly created union: “There is no reason to join any other player organization or something.”
On the other hand, Thiem was conciliatory. “But hey, everyone can have their own opinion. I think that's not a problem. But for me, personally, the ATP is doing a great job, and that's why I'm super happy with them, he stressed.
