There will be weekly tests with the risk of a lost game if they are not passed

The Royal Spanish Football Federation has communicated this Wednesday afternoon that “It has introduced new reinforcement mechanisms in its Action Protocol against COVID-19” and has presented to the CSD, for its validation, a new version that, essentially, introduces two new mechanisms of reinforcement and demand: the periodicity of the tests and new rules for Cup matches in which non-professional teams participate.

The full RFEF statement is as follows:

“On the one hand, in the section on all non-professional state competitions, it establishes that the periodicity of the tests that all the players who participate in the official non-professional national competitions must pass will be “weekly as long as there is a competition day or days in that week for the categories of Second Division B, Third Men's Division, First and Second Women's Division, and First and Second Division of Men's and Women's Futsal ”and“ every 14 days provided that in that period there is a competition day or days for the categories of First National Feminine, Second Division B and Third Division of Futsal, Youth Honor Division of Soccer and Futsal and National Youth League ”.

It also specifies that any player who has not passed the mandatory tests within those periods “You will not be able to play an official match of the state level categories” and that “if a team had not passed the mandatory tests according to the sequence set or did not have the minimum number of players who would have passed the mandatory tests the game will be considered lost. “

On the other hand, The RFEF has added a new requirement to its Enhanced Protocol for those matches that non-professional competition teams must play in the Spanish National Championship / Copa de S.M. The king against teams assigned to professional categories. Specifically, this new addition indicates that “the RFEF and the LNFP have agreed that all teams that must play matches in the Copa de S.M. the King against teams belonging to the First and Second Division All its members must pass the corresponding tests, with the minimum sufficient advance according to the protocol for professional teams approved by the LNFP ”. And add that “The LNFP, through its official supplier and in agreement with the RFEF, will provide the pertinent tests to the group of members of the teams that must play said matches of the Copa de S.M. the king”.

These measures will come into force for all categories on the day to be played on November 14 and 15, 2020. As of this date, it will be mandatory to declare to the corresponding referee compliance with the obligation of having passed the tests according to the corresponding sequence. Failure to declare or not having passed the mandatory tests will prevent the dispute from the match, giving the team that does not comply as the loser “.
