Real Madrid and Barça will fight this afternoon (18:00, GOAL) for the title in the final of the LaLiga Promises Santander International Tournament. The Whites will defend the title after beating Sevilla (1-0) in the semifinal against a Barça team that beat Benfica (2-0) on a rainy morning in Maspalomas.
The azulgrana team reached the final after beating a great Benfica. The Portuguese signed a great tournament, but they could not stop a Barça that came as favorite after winning the national edition of this tournament. The 0-0 on the scoreboard lasted until the 20th minute, although the match could have settled much earlier with a shot at the post by Ebrima (13′). Barça’s ’11’ got the thorn out shortly after, scoring the 1-0 with a great shot. The azulgranas began to feel more comfortable, although Benfica did not stop presenting danger. Total tranquility for the Catalans came in minute 26, with a goal by Iu Martínez from a pass by Ebrima.
The goal in Madrid-Seville was also resisted, game that went into the break with 0-0 after a first half of many fouls and tension. The duel continued at a good pace in a second half in which Eduardo appeared (26′) to decide the match and give Madrid a place in the final.
