The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, has once again resorted to his social networks to express his opinion. In this case, the head of the Spanish football association has charged against the initiative that the World Cup be held every two years. Tebas took advantage of an interview with coach Arséne Wenger in L’Équipe to complain about the calendar and criticize those who, like the French coach, defend the proposal of FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
In the interview with the French newspaper, the former Arsenal technician considers it positive for football that the World Cup is held biennially. Javier Tebas did not take long to respond emphatically and did not miss the opportunity to criticize the Super League initiative again. The president of LaLiga understands that the calendar is already excessively loaded and it is detrimental for domestic competitions that the number of matches is increased.
They no longer know what to invent to sink national leagues and UEFA competitions. Some with the Super League; others – the @FIFAcom– Forcing clubs to give up players without being able to play with those who pay them … and now inventing world cups every 2 years? We are enlightened pic.twitter.com/xSPAPTk5CW
