“The VAR in many ways has been a disaster”

Javi Clemente has returned to charge against the VAR, the president of LaLiga, the arbitration and even the clubs. The Biscayan coach has taken advantage of his Twitter account to make his opinion clear. “Playing without an audience has shown us that the VAR in many aspects has been a disaster,” says the Barakaldo coach.

Clemente begins his reflection with a tweet in which he mentions both the president of LaLiga and that of the Technical Referees Committee. “That Tebas says in an interview that he gives the VAR a 7, the Madrid school, to which Velasco Carballo belongs, will not have pleased him, because making such a mistake seeing the times they want the plays does not leave them in a good place.”

The former Athletic coach considers that “The clubs have to look at it, not complain after what they have allowed. Everyone knows that Tebas is from Madrid and during the year, and more clearly in this League final, the schedules have been important and these have been set by him ”.

Clemente stresses that “the lack of public pressure has allowed some arbitrations to be abandoned by the VAR and in this situation I believe that Real Madrid, in punctual plays, has been more benefited, although in others it has also been harmed”.

The former Spanish coach notes that “playing without an audience has shown us that the VAR, in many aspects, has been a disaster.” Finally he recognizes that in “A very tough league is undoubtedly that Real Madrid has been the best”.
