The Valencia press accuses Madrid of pressuring the referee

The main print and digital media in Valencia have reacted in today’s editions to the criticism from Real Madrid to the figure of Hernández Hernández, referee of the match that will face Ancelotti and Bordalás tonight at the Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid TV broadcast a video this Friday in which it recalled the decisions of the Canarian referee that, understanding the official media, had harmed the white club in recent years and the response of the Valencian press has been to accuse Real Madrid of wanting to coerce Hernández Hernandez.

“The referee for whom the Bernabéu ‘cries’ will direct Real Madrid-Valencia (…) The white team has complained on more than one occasion about the referee ”can be read in Las Provincias. More forceful, as is usual, the newspaper Superdeporte has been shown, which dedicates its cover to the echoes of the arbitration controversy originating from the official Real Madrid media. Thus, its cover for this Saturday, illustrated with an image of Google maps of the Santiago Bernabéu, is titled: “Ambush: Match with the sights of the white machine on refereeing … the same story as always at the Bernabéu ”.

Bordalás was also asked about the pressure that, according to the Valencian press, Real Madrid would be exerting on the referee of the match, highly criticized by the Madrid fans for several decisions in the areas in a derby in the Wanda against Atlético de Madrid or in a Classic against Barcelona at the Camp Nou. “These are things (the criticisms of Hernández Hernández) that do not surprise me, they try to exert some kind of pressure, I am not saying in this case, I am saying that it has happened other times. We all complain. It doesn’t bother me at all. I think he is a great referee. In Spain we have great referees ”.
