Their life has taken an absolute turn and now they face five months of preparations and promotion until they reach Malmö, the Swedish city that will host the next edition of the festival.

The idea of ​​returning home “with our children and our dog” has been altered by an unexpected triumph that will force them to put aside their day-to-day jobs in Ondara, the Alicante town in the Marina Alta where they live. this marriage that has been in a relationship for 20 years.

María (55 years old) shares with Mark Dasous (47) the other business of marriage: a recording center. Nebulossa is a musical project that was born in a very humble way and is self-managed by María and Mark, without a major record label behind it. “We self-produce and edit”, they told us in a meeting with the media, including Informalia, last November. Mark has always dedicated himself to music, but María came to this field later, in 2009. “As a child, she liked opera and she told me that she was linked to the music of the 80s and we coincided in groups. We are people very open-minded and we work with many styles in the studio.

Before Nebulossa, María and Mark had another band. “I was the vocalist and she did the backing vocals, but María began to want to go towards another style and we embarked on this project,” Mark said. “We have gone very little by little. We have won the Indie Cool (2021 with the song Glam) and the Mans Estudios, at the Atlantic Fest. We have grown slowly,” he explained to us. María, who was the one who chose the name Nebulossa for the group on a family trip to Catalonia. “Mark took us to a beautiful observatory and when we were inside, while they explained the universe, the stars and the system, I said: Nebulossa will be our name“.
