The tie between Las Palmas and Levante benefits their pursuers

Triumphs of Albacete, Cartagena and Andorra to stalk the positions of the ‘playoff’

MADRID, 22 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UD Las Palmas and Levante UD have tied this Saturday without goals during the 37th round of LaLiga SmartBank, giving wings to their pursuers Albacete Balompié, FC Cartagena and FC Andorra, who have respectively beaten Villarreal B (1-2), Sporting de Gijón (2-1) and SD Ponferradina (1-4) to stalk the ‘playoff’ positions.

The Saturday round of matches opened at the Estadio de la Cerámica, where the goals of Mohamed Djetei and Juan Manuel García traced back Diego Collado’s initial goal for the ‘Yellow Submarine’ subsidiary. With this good harvest, Albacete reached 58 points to continue in sixth place.

In their wake, Cartagena has 56 points thanks to their victory against Sporting that was left with 10 men after a quarter of an hour due to the expulsion of Jonathan Varane. The Gijón team accused him and conceded two goals, from Darío Poveda (min.31) and Alfredo Ortuño (min.40), answered with a goal from Pablo Insua (min.42), ultimately insufficient.

Andorra (51 pts.), very accurate in El Toralín, is provisionally located in eighth position. Two goals from Sergio Molina and Rubén Bover put the victory on track in the first half, and another two from Sinan Bakis and Carlos Martínez rounded off the win. Edu Espiau scored the honor for a Ponferradina in the relegation zone (36 pts.).

Also in the dangerous zone is UD Ibiza, with 29 points and without winning for a month. In the last match on Saturday, the Ibizans lost to Real Oviedo (1-2) led by Sergi Enrich’s double. The carbayones finally took the three points from Can Misses, to now have 49 in the middle of the table.
