The Administrative Court of Sport (TAD) has banned the president of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB), Agustín Martín, for eight months for alleged violations in his position, the legal portal IUSPORT reported on Tuesday.
According to a resolution dated August 2 to which the media has had access, the TAD agreed to disqualify the president for a period of eight months, also perceiving intent in the president’s actions. In June, the TAD opened a disciplinary file for the alleged commission of 19 very serious infractions during the period 2021-24.
The Salamanca-born leader became president of the RFEVB in 2000, and in 2020 he was re-elected for the sixth time to preside over the federation in elections in which he beat the president of the Catalan Volleyball Federation, Maribel Zamora.
