MADRID, 10 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish runners Roberto Bou (Cannondale TB) and Anna Ramírez (KH-7) have prevailed in the third stage of the Skoda Titan Desert, the second sector of the ‘marathon stage’ disputed over 125 kilometers between the Moroccan towns of Ksar Jdaid and Fezzou and that he mourned the death of Ernesto Escolano due to the consequences of the heart injury suffered the day before.

Roberto Bou, who helped his teammate Francisco Herrero retain the overall lead, dared to navigate the final stretch and preceded Sergio Mantecón (Scott) and Pau Marza (The White Angel by Santiveri) by 1:57 and 2:17, respectively.

In the general classification, Herrero added three seconds ahead of the Swiss Konny Looser (Tamayo Team), while Pau Marza is third at 11 seconds.

In the women’s category, Anna Ramírez was the first from the first stretch of dunes and pushed hard to achieve her second victory in three stages, beating Namibian Vera Looser in half a minute. In the general classification, Ramírez has more than five minutes of margin with respect to her rivals and has shown no signs of weakness throughout the race.

This Wednesday the fourth stage will be held, 116 kilometers between Fezzou and Erg Chebbi, back towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi and that will take the titans through large ‘plateaus’ and long straights to measure their strength.
