The Spanish Inés Felipe and David González, European paracanoe champions

Higinio Rivero was bronze in the Portugal event

The Spanish paddlers David González and Inés Felipe were proclaimed European paracanoe champions this Saturday in the European Sprint that is taking place in Montemor-o-Velho (Portugal), while Higinio Rivero achieved a bronze.

González (Club Kayak Tudense) took gold in the VL1 200, while Felipe (Club Piragüismo Badajoz) won the continental title in the VL2 200 category.

For his part, Higinio Rivero (Club Plentzia Piragüismo Taldea) also fought for the medals to take bronze in the VL2 200 category, a test in which Antonio Gómez (Club Náutico de Sevilla) finished eighth.

The last regatta of the day was the VL3 200 with two other Spaniards in the final. Adrián Mosquera (Club Piragüismo Rias Baixas Boiro) was fourth, half a second from the medal, and Francisco Fernández (Real Circulo de Labradores) finished in eighth position.
