The Spanish dancer Claudia Ávalos, selected for the Royal Ballet School in London

The Spanish dancer Claudia Ávalos, a student at the Authorized Professional Center for Classical Ballet and Spanish Dance Eszena Danza, in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid), has been selected by the Royal Ballet School in London to carry out a two-week stay on next July.

Founded in 1926 by Ninette de Valois, the Royal Ballet School is the official school of the Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet, and one of the three major classical ballet training centers in the world. Its admission is based exclusively on talent and potential, and over generations it has trained great dancers and choreographers of international renown.

At only 15 years old, Claudia has ranked ahead of hundreds of candidates who were applying for this stay. She alone has been dedicating herself to the world of dance for 2 years and in this period she has managed to be a finalist in 2022 and 2023 in the final of the classification in Spain of the international Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) championship.

In its last edition last March, in which 596 dancers participated, Claudia obtained a scholarship to study at the Ballet Academy, University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.

Eszena Danza is one of the most recognized classical ballet and Spanish dance academies in Madrid. Sara Estades, 15 years old, who has obtained a stay in the National Ballet of Spain, and Miguel Rojo, 13, who also managed to advance to the final of the YAGP classification in Spain in 2023, have been trained there and won. with a summer scholarship in Italy at the International Summer School Volta Mantovana.
