The Spanish artistic gymnastics team, eighth in the team competition

MADRID, 20 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish men’s artistic gymnastics team finished this Saturday in eighth place in the final of the European Championship, which runs until this Sunday in Munich (Germany), by achieving a score of 240.394, far from the podium.

The Spanish team, formed by Rayderley Zapata, Joel Plata, Néstor Abad, Nicola Mir and Thierno Diallo, reached the final last Thursday with the third best reference, but could not continue in the decisive event and finished in the last position of the eight best European teams.

Only in the rings, Spain was at a podium level, while in the rest of the exercises it paid dearly for certain errors that condemned it to eighth place. The continental title went to the United Kingdom, with 254,295 points, while the silver belonged to Italy (247,494) and the bronze to Turkey (246,162).
