Nearly 10,000 runners participated this Sunday in the tenth edition of the ‘Run for the Child’ race, an event held in the Retiro Park in Madrid after two years of hiatus due to the pandemic and sponsored by the marathon world champion Martín Fiz .
The appointment is promoted and promoted by Dr. Juan Casado, head of Intensive Care Services at the Hospital, and is sponsored by Banco Santander. Martín Fiz, ambassador of Sports Santander, sponsored and encouraged the race at the start of the 10, 5 and 2 kilometers for the enjoyment of young, young and old runners.
The proceeds from the race were allocated entirely to the Research Foundation of the Niño Jesús Hospital itself and Banco Santander donated 22,500 euros to the institution with which it collaborates closely.
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented the prizes to the winners, together with Juan Barroso, nurse at the Niño Jesús Hospital, Juan Casado, pediatrician emeritus at the Niño Jesús Hospital and promoter of the race, and Enrique Ruiz Escudero, Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid.
