Last Tuesday, April 4, the United States lived a historic day by sitting, for the first time, a former president on the bench. Donald Trump (76) testified before the Manhattan court in the case of alleged bribery of the porn actress Stephanie Cliffordknown as Stormy Daniels (44). A day later, the former Republican president insisted on his innocence during a speech at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

“[El caso] should be abandoned immediately. Everyone, my lawyers, everyone, says ‘there’s nothing here’, there’s no case!” he claimed.
On the other hand, this Thursday the first interview of Stormy Daniels was broadcast on television after Trump’s appearance in court. This is an expected conversation with Piers Morgan on Fox Nation that has generated, as expected, a great deal of excitement.
One of his great headlines has caused a great impact: “I do not believe that his crimes against me deserve prison but I do believe that he is held accountable.” In this sense, he has added: “I feel like the other things he has done, if he is found guilty, absolutely.”
Daniels has been forceful: “No matter what your job is, no one can be untouchable, even if you are president of the United States you must answer to your actions.” Thus, he is glad to have taken Trump to court: “The king has been dethroned, he is no longer untouchable.”
In her interview, the actress, screenwriter and director also compares Trump to a “suicide bomber”: “In the depths of her soul, she feels that she is doing the right thing.”

Stormy, “shocked”, has also thanked the “love and support” she has received these days: “I thought she would get away with it and that she would not have to explain.” In addition, she has asked that they call her to testify in the case: “And if they don’t, it almost seems that they are hiding me.”
Trump, who faces a 33-count indictment, has pleaded not guilty. Among others, alleged payments for the silence of the adult film actress; classified documents; election interference in Georgia; and the investigation into his alleged involvement in the assault on the capitol. He faces 1 to 4 years in jail. Trump has thus become the first former US president to be charged, which could end his aspirations to return to the White House in the elections scheduled for 2024.
