The Sevillian singer and dancer María Jiménez will be buried in her beloved neighborhood of Triana

The death of María Jiménez has left her beloved Seville and her neighborhood of Triana an orphan. The artist’s funeral chapel is going to be installed in the City Hall of the Seville capital, in the Apeadero Hall, according to municipal sources. In addition, the consistory plans a tribute in her memory. Her mortal remains will be transferred to the wake in a horse-drawn carriage, thus fulfilling a wish of the beloved Sevillian.

The burial of the immense artist, singer, actress and dancer will take place this Friday, September 8, at 12:00 in the morning. The burial of her will be officiated in the Church of Santa Ana, in the beloved neighborhood of this heart of Triana, as reported in The summer program.

María Jiménez passed away at 01:00 a.m. this Thursday the 7th surrounded by affection, “she dedicated her life to her two children, Rocío and Alejandro, her passions, her friends, whom she cultivated and loved with great generosity until the end of her days, to his sister Isabel, whom he adored, and being a flag of freedom,” the statement read.
