As reported this Friday ‘Herald of Aragon’, the Real Zaragoza is about to change hands. The Aragonese club is finalizing the sale of the SAD and it could be completely closed next week. The newspaper's information points to an investment group based in Barcelona as a possible new owner. In it would appear the brothers Alejandro and Carlos Álvarez del Campo, and the lawyer Francisco Dominguez Otero, specialized in sports law and linked to the representation of footballers.
This sale would also involve the entry of foreign capital and would have the objective of increasing the competitive capacity of the team to try to achieve promotion at once.
Currently the maximum shareholder of Real Zaragoza is César Alierta, with 50.56%. The Yarza family, owner of ‘Heraldo de Aragón’, has just over 13% of the shares.
