MADRID, 9 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Royal Spanish Swimming Federation (RFEN) presented this Thursday to the La Nucía City Council the project for the construction of an “ambitious” ‘Aquatic Swimming Pool Complex’ in the Alicante town to host major national and international events, according to a statement.

The “ambitious” project of the new Aquatic Center, presented by the president of the RFEN, Fernando Carpena, accompanied by the advisors in sports facilities projects (Studio Pujol Sadovski) and its pool partner FLUIDRA, to the mayor of La Nucía, Bernabé Cano , would be part of the great Sports City that is being built in the city.

This new aquatic complex would be made up of two sheets of water, a 50-meter covered pool, with capacity in the stands for 1,500 people, and another outdoor pool that could accommodate up to 500 people from the public.

“This sports facility in La Nucía would largely cover the lack of aquatic facilities in Spain to host national and international competitions,” the RFEN reported in its statement, in which it announced that it would present the project to the Higher Sports Council and other administrations. “with the objective of seeking the necessary alliances for its execution.”
