The RFEF opens an extraordinary disciplinary file against Real Valladolid for racist insults to Vinícius

MADRID, 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has opened an “extraordinary disciplinary procedure” against Real Valladolid for the racist insults suffered by Real Madrid striker Vinícius at the José Zorrilla stadium in the LaLiga Santander match last 30 from December.

“The Competition Committee agrees to initiate an extraordinary disciplinary procedure against Real Valladolid for carrying out conduct that could eventually constitute one or more infringements of the general sports regulations, all of the above in accordance with article 32 of the current RFEF Disciplinary Code” he said in a statement.

As explained by the RFEF, on Monday a letter was received from the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, “providing certain information, documentation and audio and video files” of the match between Real Valladolid and Real Madrid.

In addition, the Competition Committee has appointed Juan Antonio Landaberea Unzueta as investigating judge to process the procedure. “The Committee agrees to notify the interested party of the previous decision, meaning that he will have the right to formulate allegations and the hearing process in the course of the investigation and within the established periods and that it will be notified in a timely manner,” he said.

On the other hand, the RFEF reiterated that it is “essential to act firmly in relation to any action, demonstration or statement that is susceptible to violence, racism, xenophobia or intolerance in football”.
