MADRID, 6 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), the Italian Cycling Federation and the Fédération Française de Cyclisme have signed, on the occasion of the celebration in Prague of the Ordinary General Assembly of the European Cycling Union, a collaboration agreement through which they will be able to exchange commissioners in official competitions determined by mutual agreement of the Italian, French and Spanish Referee Technical Committees.
“This collaboration agreement stems from the interest of the three federations in promoting the transmission of knowledge and practice of their respective Referee Technical Committees, as well as the exchange of experiences and initiatives for the promotion of this activity,” reported the RFEC.
In addition, with the agreement and approval of the three great tours -Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España-, beginning in the current 2023 season, an annual exchange of a commissioner on a rotating basis is established as follows: a Spanish commissioner for the Tour de France, a French commissioner for the Giro d’Italia and an Italian commissioner for La Vuelta.
In the 2024 season it will be established as follows: a Spanish commissioner for the Giro d’Italia, a French commissioner for La Vuelta and an Italian commissioner for the Tour de France. Following this order, this exchange will be carried out in the following years, being in charge of its coordination and implementation the respective Technical Committees of national Referees.
