The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has expressed this Saturday his rejection of “the violence of a few” and he regretted that the Copa del Rey match between Betis and Sevilla had to be suspended due to the throwing of a bar that hit Sevilla player Joan Jordán.
“Regrettable. It hurts me that a match between Real Betis and Sevilla FC had to end like this… Andalusian sport is passion and sportsmanship. No to the violence of a few,” he said on the social network Twitter.
The derby, of the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, has been suspended by the referee after 39 minutes into the first half Jordán received the impact of a bar, apparently made of plastic, on his head just after tying one the home team.
