The San Antonio Spurs surprised the New Orleans Pelicans this morning (103-107) and tightened the fight for the last of the ‘Play-In’ positions in the Western Conference of the NBA, on a day in which the Memphis Grizzlies of Santi Aldama have beaten the Milwaukee Bucks (127-102).
The 32 points of CJ McCollum and the 23 of Jose Alvarado were not enough for the Louisianans, tenth in the West -the last place to access the postseason-, to avoid their second defeat in the last three games, which reduces their advantage (31- 43) with the Texans (30-44), who aspire to snatch their place of privilege.
Willy Hernangómez from Madrid did not enjoy the prominence of previous nights and spent less than a quarter of an hour on the court, in which he contributed 3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block.
For their part, the Memphis Grizzlies (52-23) settled in second place in the West after beating the Bucks, who despite 30 points from Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo lamented the loss of Ja Morant.
The canary Santi Aldama jumped onto the court with everything decided for the Tennessee team and scored 2 points and grabbed a rebound in his three minutes of participation.
