The nickname that Charles III uses to call Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert

He Prince Harry y Meghan Markle They have not always been distant from the British royal family. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a good relationship with the rest of the Windsors, the current British monarch gave Meghan Markle a nickname.

As he tells Katie Nichollroyal expert, in his new book The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the CrownKing Charles III nicknamed his future daughter-in-law ‘tungsten’ for her resilience and toughness. It is currently unknown whether the monarch continues to refer to the former actress with this nickname.

The last time Meghan and Charles III met was in September 2022 at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Since then, Prince Harry’s wife has not set foot in England. In fact, she did not accompany Prince William’s brother on the few trips he has made to the London capital so far in 2024.

It should be remembered that this year, Prince Harry only visited his father at the beginning of the year when Charles III announced that he had cancer. Months later, in April, Harry travelled to London for the Invictus Games, but due to alleged scheduling problems he did not meet with the monarch.

In January 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped down as royals and left the UK for the US. They took this step because, they say, they wanted to live away from media pressure in order to raise their children freely and be financially independent.
