The Movistar Team will have a total of 29 cyclists for the 2022 season, with eight new faces, after closing the continuity of Alejandro Valverde and the renewals, also at the last minute, of Imanol Erviti, Albert Torres, Lluís Mas and José Joaquín Rojas.
“The squad is closed with 29 cyclists, with 17 Spanish members and up to ten nationalities, which presents eight new faces for this new year,” the team reported.
The signings for the new year, being again the only Spanish team in the UCI WorldTour, are those of Alex Aranburu, Will Barta, Max Kanter, Oier Lazkano, Vinícius Rangel, Óscar Rodríguez, Iván Sosa and the return of Gorka Izagirre.
The team is completed by current members Jorge Arcas, Iñigo Elosegui, Imanol Erviti, Iván García Cortina, Abner González, Juri Hollmann, Gorka Izagirre, Johan Jacobs, Matteo Jorgenson, Lluís Mas, Enric Mas, Gregor Mühlberger, Mathias Norsgaard, Nelson Oliveira , Antonio Pedrero, José Joaquín Rojas, Einer Rubio, Sergio Samitier, Gonzalo Serrano, Albert Torres, Alejandro Valverde and Carlos Verona.
