There are three clay court tournaments on the ATP calendar before the Monte Carlo Masters 1,000, which will take place a week before the Barcelona tournament. In May the Masters 1,000 of Madrid, from 2 to 9, and Rome, from 9 to 16, before Roland Garros, between May 23 and June 6. The clay Grand Slam was played last season in October due to the pandemic and with only 1,000 daily spectators in the stands.
