MADRID, 13 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The coach Lolo Escobar has been dismissed as coach of CD Mirandés after the team has won only one of the last five games in LaLiga SmartBank, the Burgos club confirmed this Sunday.
“Club Deportivo Mirandés, after the meeting held by its Board of Directors, communicates the decision to end the relationship with the hitherto first team coach, Lolo Escobar, who will not continue as head of the red bench,” he said in a statement.
The defeats against Huesca (4-0) and against Real Sporting de Gijón (0-3) have precipitated Escobar’s dismissal. The team is seventeenth with 30 points, five more than the first of the places that marks the descent.
“Club Deportivo Mirandés appreciates the work and effort of Lolo Escobar during his time as coach this 2021/22 season and wishes him the best of luck and success in his future projects, both personal and professional,” he concluded.
