There are barely three months until the trial for the crime of the Colombian surgeon begins and the strategies of both parties are more than defined. This Thursday, in addition, new data has been leaked from the summary prepared by the Thai police, unpublished until now, and which includes the exchange of messages between Daniel Sancho y Edwin Arrieta just two hours before the crime was committed: “We'll have a drink here, Koh Pangan will welcome you with the sky opening up.”
Information that has surprised the Spanish lawyer of the Arrieta family, as she assures that they were not aware of it. It must be remembered that the summary is written in Thai and is being translated into Spanish through official channels: “The police will have to explain in the trial how they obtained those messages, where they came from and at what time they were sent,” he said on the program Ana Rose.
Everything indicates that their origin is Daniel Sancho's phone number, since they were unable to find Edwin Arrieta's phone number. As revealed On everyone's lips, some were written upon the surgeon's arrival to the island: “It's raining. Let's have a drink here. Koh Pangan is going to welcome you with the sky opening up,” the Spaniard told his friend. Minutes later, a small reprimand: “I've been waiting for you for 20 minutes because you were supposed to come and you went to the beach.”Daniel wrote angrily. “Don't be angry hahaha”Edwin responded.
The last messages were sent after the crime was committed and no longer received a response: “I'm very worried, I haven't seen you in hours, you were carrying all your things, I'm going to have to call the police. “I'm going to the hotel, I hope you're there and you've only lost your cell phone or your bag.”
The 'tricks' of the Thai police
The Thai summary includes, in turn, the confession of Daniel Sancho, who states that he hit Edwin against the sink until he lost consciousness, and also how he bought all the material necessary for the murder and dismemberment of his friend, something that Nor had it been revealed until now and that does not agree with what was stated by Daniel's defense, led by lawyer Marcos García Montes: “It has been said that Daniel Sancho had confessed.
