“The material that was stolen from me and the one that has been published is not the same”

“Things are being said that are not true”. That’s how angry she came in Barbara Rey in the program Sonsoles Onega this Wednesday after some information provided by Paloma García Pelayo. The star has addressed the journalist directly to clarify that the material that has seen the light of day these days is not the same that was stolen from her home more than two decades ago: “The material they stole does not exist and the one my son stole from me is the one they are using. There is other material that disappeared and we do not know where it is. Mine, the one that was in my house, was stolen from me by a person in my family, very close, and they are benefiting now.”

With a calm but visibly upset voice, Bárbara Rey has denied García Pelayo’s information and has distorted some of his expressions: “It seems very strong to me that you say that the material compromises me morally. It compromised a person in my family who is no longer in this world and that is why it was said that the child had made them, nothing more”he said bluntly, again denying that the author of the photographs is his son, Ángel Cristo. “They also said that the photographs were nothing short of pornographic and it has already been seen that this is not the case at all.”

In addition, the star has reiterated that her images with Juan Carlos I were taken inside her house and that she will take legal measures in this regard: “Taking those photographs is a crime, it is my house, my privacy and that of the person who is with me.”

Finally, he regrets the controversy surrounding the alleged blackmail that he would have done to the emeritus in order to remain silent all these years: “A very unfair media and moral trial is being made of me. I am not convicted of anything. 30 years have passed and if it had been true there would have already been legal consequences.”
