Mar Menor added three points to their locker after getting a hard-fought victory against Alzira, which they beat 1-0 this Sunday at El Pitín. The Mar Menor arrived with the intention of reaping another victory after achieving a 1-0 victory against Calvo Sotelo Puertollano. On the part of the visiting team, Alzira had to settle for a scoreless draw against CF Intercity. With this defeat, the Alcireño team was placed in tenth position after the end of the game, while Mar Menor is seventh.
During the first period there were no goals by any of the players of each team, so the result remained 0-0 during the first 45 minutes.
In the second half came the goal for Mar Menor, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring with a goal from Ubis in the 66th minute, ending the match with the score 1-0.
Both coaches made moves on the benches. The Mar Menor coach admitted Rafa Páez, Andres Silvente and Nacho Pérez for Titi, Ubis and Peque, while Alzira gave entry to Jordi Méndez, Pérez, Traver, Cortijo and Zarzo for Estacio, Chema Moreno, Selfa, Abel and Garcia.
The referee showed five yellow cards, two of them to Mar Menor (Ubis and Titi) and three to Alzira (Estacio, Beli and Selfa).
After beating the match, Mar Menor ranked seventh in the league table with 20 points at the end of the match, while Alzira ranked tenth with 18 points.
The teams will continue to play their next matches in the Second RFEF: Alzira will try to return to the path of victory in their next match against Calvo Sotelo Puertollano in their fiefdom, while Mar Menor will play against Socuéllamos at home.
