The impossible mission to replace Arambarri’s loss

Mauro Arambarri will serve a penalty on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu. Getafe will have only one casualty in that match, but the absence of the Uruguayan is not just any absence. Until now, the central midfielder has missed six league games with a very negative balance for his team that has been defeated in five of them and could only draw in the last one. Arambarri’s weight in the game and in Geta’s character is more than provenalthough Quique now has alternatives so that it is not so decisive.

Without Arambarri, Getafe fell in Vallecas, twice in Seville, in Cornellá and at home against Atlético de Madrid. He tied in San Mamés. Florentino was in charge of replacing him, except in Bilbao, when Gonzalo Villar did it. It seems the first option to repeat. In that game, the Murcian played with ease, but made waters in defense. The presence of Maksimovic, who also did not play that match, will free him up a bit of those functions. The other more feasible possibility is that Maksimovic plays as a positional midfielder and instead of Gonzalo Villar, Óscar Rodríguez is the left midfielder. That Florentino or Okay occupy the pivot position that Arambarri leaves free seems more complicated.

Many alternatives for Quique who will look for a surprise against the leader that he already achieved in the Coliseum. Getafe will look for the first victory of the season away from home with high morale after the win against Mallorca and the tranquility that comes from seeing the descent further than ever. The azulones do not rest this week and they still have two training sessions to prepare for the assault on the Santiago Bernabéu.
