The ‘Hispanics’ begin their set-up for the European

First training of the current champions in their concentration in Madrid

MADRID, 26 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish men’s handball team held their first training session this Sunday at the facilities of the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) in Madrid, starting a concentration until December 30 in preparation for the European Championship.

The ‘Hispanos’, current double champions of Europe, are already fine-tuning their set-up for the continental event that takes place in Hungary and Slovakia from January 13 to 30. The coach, Jordi Ribera, intends to take advantage of these days in Madrid to have a little more workload and introduce physical load.

The call had a change this Saturday with the call to SL Benfica goalkeeper Sergey Hernández to replace Rodrigo Corrales. The 26-year-old Navarrese goalkeeper returned to a call-up with the Spanish senior team after being international in the double friendly played against Romania last November in Avilés.
