French footballer Olivier Giroud, forward for AC Milan, has renewed his contract with the ‘rossonero’ team this Wednesday until 2024, having already become a “key piece” of coach Stefano Pioli’s squad at the age of 36.
“AC Milan is proud to announce that Olivier Giroud has renewed his contract with the club. Olivier, at AC Milan since the summer of 2021, has become a key player in the ‘rossonera’ forward, playing 76 games and scoring 27 goals”, has indicated the Milan club on its website.
‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ has estimated this renewal of Giroud at a rate of 3.5 million euros. The Chambéry-born striker, the all-time top scorer for the French team, is being fundamental in Milan’s Champions League run this season.
Thanks to his goal, the ‘rossonero’ team achieved a draw (1-1) this past Tuesday in their visit to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, eliminating Napoli and thus accessing the semifinals of the maximum continental tournament after 16 years.
