‘La Jaula Movistar’, a basketball court behind bars, will arrive in Badalona on July 28 with the help of the ACB, in Platja del Coco in the Catalan city, to put on a day full of activities, shows and 3×3 competition “at the highest level”.
In its fourth edition, ‘La Jaula Movistar’ will be by the sea in a venue that will have a 3×3 basketball court inside a cage with a light show, the best sound, screens and stands so that no fan misses out on any detail, with Free access until full capacity.
The track will open in the morning (10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) with popular activities, it will resume in the afternoon with a first part of open participation and, from 6:30 p.m., a contest will begin in which the fans will be the protagonists , the performance of three comedians and the start of a top-level 3×3 competition. In between, an exhibition of the best ‘dunkers’ and a show finale until midnight.
The director of Advertising, Branding and Sponsorships of Telefónica Spain, Aitor Goyenechea, assured that he was “delighted” to celebrate the fourth edition in Badalona, venue of the Copa del Rey 2023. “For Movistar, this initiative represents another experience that strengthens us in our purpose of bringing sport and entertainment to all audiences. La Jaula is a real show that connects us with the best players and basketball fans. But it’s not just sport, there will also be a lot of leisure for young people and families”, he assured.
The highlight of ‘La Jaula Movistar’ will be a high-level 3×3 tournament, in which the best national teams will compete, with the bulk of the Spanish 3×3 team leading the way. From 7:45 p.m. you can enjoy the tournament, with seven games until a champion is found.
On the other hand, comedians Nacho García, Miguel Iribar and Patricia Espejo will add humor to ‘La Jaula Movistar’ with three monologues starting at 6:45 p.m., just before the 3×3 competition begins.
‘La Jaula Movistar’ will also bring the Copa del Rey 2023 a little closer to Badalona, the venue for next February. The Cup trophy will visit the track from 6:30 p.m. and all fans will be able to take a photo with it and warm up for Badalona 2023.
All fans will be able to participate from 6:30 p.m. in the popular contests and at 7:00 p.m., through a massive KO, the prize for the winner will be two tickets for the 2022 Endesa Super Cup.
