They have been announcing for days in the news: winter has given us a truce. With more dim temperatures than normal for a February morning in Madrid, Doña Letizia has reached the gallery of the royal collections without shelter. The queen of this fixed piece has dispensed with her cold looks, of which she has made a flag and hallmark in her closet. We are, then, at the doors of spring (in style, of course).
Felipe VI and Letizia have presided over the meeting with the Royal Board of Trustees of the Gallery of the Royal Collections, which advises the National Heritage Administration Board. The meeting took place on Tuesday 18 in the morning.
The gallery, inaugurated by the kings and open to the public in June 2023, appears as a gigantic balcony to the gardens of the Moorish field. It constitutes the most important museum status project of the last decades in Spain. Next to the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral, the gallery is part of the monumental complex of the capital. It houses works of art inside that testify to the work of patronage and collecting of the Spanish crown over the centuries.
For this working meeting, the queen has chosen a gray wrap cross dress.
