The fans of the 40 clubs that will compete in the new category of Spanish football already have the competition calendar in their possession. Since the 28th of August the ball begins to roll, they will find 38 days in which they will fight for promotion to professional football. Las Rozas Soccer City was the place chosen to celebrate the calendar draw. For it, up to 100,000 possibilities had been previously elaborated and luck gave 90,145 the chosen one. In addition, this category that seeks to approach professionalization, copied the LaLiga model for First and Second, establishing it to be asymmetrical (the order of the matches of the first round does not coincide with that of the second).
The 90.145 calendar will bring an attractive start to the season. The first day will open in a big way: a Galician derby, Deportivo-Celta B in Group A and one with a flavor of Segunda such as Albacete-Castellón in Group B. Aothers, during the season we will find duels with a First taste, such as the Deportivo-Racing (the first leg will be played on October 24 at the Sardinero and the return on January 30 at Riazor). Or miniClassics and miniderbis. The Madrid and Barça subsidiaries will face off on matchdays 8 (October 17) and 21 (January 30), with the first leg at Di Stéfano and the return at Johan Cruyff. There will also be a Sevilla Atlético-Betis Deportivo (the first leg on January 23 and the return on April 24).
The First RFEF will begin the weekend of August 28-29. It will suffer a hiatus from December 20 to January 8 due to Christmas. And it will not be played on the weekend of January 15 and 16 due to the eighth dispute of the Copa del Rey. Regular season runs through May 28-29. The final phase will be played from June 5 to 12. On day 5 the first two of each group would be measured to determine the champion of the category; the promotion promotion would start on the 8th and 9th with the four semifinals and the finals for the two remaining tickets to go up to First would be played on the 11th and 12th of the same.
