The first public praise of Bruno Gómez-Acebo, cousin of King Felipe VI, towards Princess Leonor and his opinion on the travels of the emeritus

Since the heir to the Spanish throne began her military training, all eyes have been on Princess Leonor. Her institutional achievements, her first solo trips, and the various commitments she has to take on have been the subject of conversation among many faces of the Spanish royalty. The latest to give his opinion on how the daughter of King Felipe VI is making giant strides in her training as heir to the throne has been Bruno Gomez-Acebofirst of the monarch.

Gómez-Acebo attended Karol G’s triumphant performance at her first concert in the capital, and with a few words at the microphones she highlighted the important role that the princess is playing. Recently, Leonor made her first official solo trip to Portugal and, soon, she will travel to Paris to support the national athletes in their fight for the gold medal at the Olympic Games: “Leonor is a very well prepared girl and she is doing wonderfully well”Gomez-Acebo stated.

It is true that the Gómez-Acebo family enjoys a very close relationship with the Royal Family. Furthermore, King Felipe VI, accompanied by Doña Letizia and his two daughters, attended the funeral of Fernando Gómez-Acebo last March, the youngest of the five sons of Infanta María Pilar de Borbón, sister of King Juan Carlos I. Specifically, regarding the death of his brother, Bruno said: “It’s been a tough year and we liked making plans together. We’re licking our wounds and coming to terms with the absences.”.

The emeritus king also attended the mass in honour of the deceased, having travelled from Abu Dhabi to support the family at such a delicate time. Regarding King Juan Carlos’s travels and his constant returns to Spain, Bruno said that “this is where he has to be. At home.”
