The ‘era De la Fuente’ starts with a massive first session in Las Rozas

MADRID, 20 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Thousands of fans filled the first training session for the Spanish team on Monday with Luis de la Fuente at the helm, in a session in which FC Barcelona footballers Pablo Martín Páez Gavira ‘Gavi’ and Alejandro Balde trained on the sidelines.

The ‘era De la Fuente’ got underway this Monday with a first session to prepare for the matches against Norway and Scotland, on March 25 and 28, respectively, in which the new ‘Red’ took a mass bath. The one from Haro already confirmed this Friday, after announcing his first call, that he would open training to the public. “We are on a new path and this happens because the fans feel very close to us because we are going to need their support,” he declared.

And the fans have responded with long queues before the doors of the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Las Rozas open 45 minutes before the start of the session at 7:00 p.m. This first training session began with a grand welcome to the players chosen by De la Fuente, who gave his first talk as coach on the pitch, before the first exercises.

With the news of Borja Iglesias and Yéremy Pino as replacements for the injured Gerard Moreno and Pedri, the news was that both Gavi and Balde completed the session apart from the group. Both players were starters, playing the entire match, in the Clásico this Sunday with Barça, who beat Real Madrid (2-1) with a goal in the final minutes.

In front of a crowded Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, with thousands of people witnessing the start of Luis de la Fuente at the command of ‘La Roja’, the footballers carried out several rounds, before the finishing exercises with the ball that ended up unleashing the ‘ madness’ among the fans of the team who came to this first training session.

The spotlights, in addition to the coach, focused on those who could debut with the national team David García and Joselu, as well as veterans and who return after a long time Iago Aspas and Nacho Fernández, or Mikel Oyarzabal, who returned after the severe knee injury that occurred a year ago. Dani Ceballos, Martín Zubimendi or Bryan Gil are other great novelties on De la Fuente’s list who stepped on the Las Rozas pitch this Monday.
