The thirty-third day of LaLiga SmartBank had eleven protagonists that we detail below. De Tomás (Espanyol) stood out, with a new double; and Samu Sáiz and Stuani (Girona) and Cristian López (Cartagena), with goal and assistance. De Tomás (Espanyol) stood out, with a new double; and Samu Sáiz and Stuani (Girona) and Cristian López (Cartagena), with goal and assistance. Cristian Álvarez (Zaragoza) saved a penalty.
Goalkeeper
Cristian Álvarez (Zaragoza)
The best performance in goal on matchday 33 was made to wait and did not come until the last game. Cristian Álvarez, is without discussion, the best goalkeeper of the weekend. The Argentine goalkeeper saved Ibán Salvador a penalty, with 0-0 on the scoreboard, with a spectacular stretch. He also completed three more stops to save the victory.
Defenses
Calero (Espanyol)
Espanyol is already a solo leader after their victory against Albacete. Fernando Calero appears in this eleven after releasing his scoring account of the season, with a good goal from a corner. His head was perfect and unappealable. In defense he was serious and without concessions.
Lombán (Malaga)
Another of those who launched his scoring account and did so with a fundamental goal was Lombán. The center-back scored the only goal of the match against Lugo to give Málaga victory. The goal came in the 84th minute from a direct free kick. Ander Cantero did his best to stop him, but ended up stopping him inside the goal
Oscar Rubio (Sabadell)
Sabadell could not get any point from his visit to Butarque despite having played a great second half. With 2-0 on the scoreboard, Óscar Rubio closed the gap thanks to a strong shoe from outside the area that hit Rubén Pérez on the back and was poisoned.
David Andújar (Cartagena)
Cartagena added three very important points against Alcorcón, which allow them to continue in the fight for permanence in Second. David Andújar scored the first goal of the game, just off a corner and with his knee, after a cross from Cristian López. The one from Torrejón de Ardoz already has three goals so far this season.
Midfielders
Iñaki Sáenz (Logroñés)
He is taking a liking to marking. Iñaki Sáenz repeats in the eleven of the day after seeing the door again against Tenerife. The midfielder scored the only goal of the game, after collecting a rebound in a corner that he threw himself. His shot, from within the area, was impossible to stop.
Samu Sáiz (Girona)
The Girona midfielder saw the door for the second consecutive week and this time he appears for the eleven of the day. Before his goal, he gave another to Stuani, in the last play of the first half. His goal came after a beautiful hit from outside the area. The bad luck is that he was injured in the hit.
Cristian López (Cartagena)
The globetrotter Cristian López inaugurated his scoring account with Cartagena against Alcorcón, in a match in which the assistance of the first goal was also scored (previously mentioned). In his time, he defined which killer from the area, after a pass from De Blasis from the right wing.
Forwards
Baby (Lightning)
You need little to be in the eleven. Baby is once again one of the highlights of the day, after scoring a goal that is worth gold. It was enough for the Portuguese to play the last 13 minutes to recover: great individual play that ends with a strong shot from outside the area and stays in the goal. He has four goals (three in the league).
From Tomás (Espanyol)
Another of those who repeat in the eleven. Two doubles in two games that show that he is in the best moment of the season. His first goal came after a penalty missed by himself; and the second, after receiving a pass from Didac Vila inside the area. The Madrilenian, with 20 goals, stalks Djurdjevic (21), as the top scorer in the Second Division.
Stuani (Girona)
Little by little the best version of Stuani reappears. Against Ponferradina he left two samples of his entire class in the form of a goal and an assist. The Uruguayan opened the scoring after a pass from another Girona player in the eleven (Samu Sáiz) and assisted the third, the work of Nahuel Bustos.
