The champions of a U-17 school tournament in the Dominican Republic have finished the intensive ‘stage’ at the ESC Madrid complex together with LaLiga coaches, where the women’s team played against the Rayo Vallecano Foundation and the men’s team against the U-18 team of LaLiga Academy Madrid, the permanent academy of LaLiga in Spain.
“The training ‘stage’ took place between September 30 and October 4, and it gave the two Dominican champion teams the opportunity to live the LaLiga experience and work on the technical details of their game thanks to the help of the own Methodology imparted by the technicians of LaLiga”, explained the organization this Tuesday.
In total, 30 footballers have participated, including 14 players and 16 players between 16 and 18 years old. A long-term academic-sports program in Spain that brings together players of 24 different nationalities and is also open to players of all ages and levels, for whom there is an intention to open a women’s group in the 23-24 season.
“The experience with women’s grassroots football is not new, but with this ‘stage’ we inaugurate activity in this area at the ESC Madrid Center. We have carried out more than 550 international sports projects since 2015, and one of our main objectives is the democratization of football , making it accessible to players from all over the world regardless of their gender, age, race or culture”, explained Juan Florit, head of sports projects at LaLiga and the sports area at Hyperlink.
