the details of your big day in Mallorca

The greatest joy in life Rafael Nadal came into the world in October 2022. Little Rafa, the fruit of his marriage to Xisca Perelló, was the finishing touch to a love story that began more than a decade ago and that they celebrated with all their friends and family in 2019 with a magnificent wedding at the Majorcan estate of Sa Fortalesa. This Sunday, the family experienced a new celebration: the baptism of the youngest of the house.

The event took place at the Crist Rei church. Nadal and Perelló, in their line of absolute discretion, celebrated their son’s baptism in a reserved and family event that only included a photographer hired by the tennis player’s family. The sacrament was not made official by the parish priest Antoni Amorós but by the deacon Lluís Florit, as revealed The Mallorca newspaper.

Little Rafa, almost eighteen months old, has already accompanied his father on some of his sporting events and has even stolen the spotlight from the stands, as happened at the Mutua Madrid Open. There, he remained throughout the match on the lap of his mother and his aunt, Maribel Nadal, starring in a most tender image in which, like his father, she held a tennis racket.

His relationship with Perelló

Xisca, a childhood friend of Maribel Nadal, and Rafa began dating in 2005, the year in which the tennis player won his first Roland Garros with the presence of his then-girlfriend supporting him and cheering him on from the stands. Support that has intensified in recent months, which have not been easy for the great Spanish tennis player. His age and injuries do not allow him to perform on the courts at the usual level and he is already beginning to say goodbye to some tournaments. The last one, the Madrid Open, where they paid a heartfelt tribute to him on the Manolo Santana court before the tears of his entire family.

Nadal fell on the clay court in Paris last May against Zverev, although he did not want to close the doors to a possible return, and is now preparing to participate in the Paris Olympic Games, where he will compete in doubles with Carlos Alcaraz.
