Noel Le Graët, President of the French Football Federation (FFF), confirmed that the French Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Saint-Étienne will take place on July 24 at the Stade de France with 5,000 people in the stands, a number that he hopes can be increased to 30 percent then. Meanwhile, the final of the League Cup between PSG and Lyon will be held on July 31 on the same stage.
This final PSG-St. Étienne will be the first official match to be played in France since the interruption of the competition due to the pandemic. Ligue 1 was canceled on April 30 and PSG declared champion.
The dates of the finals were known, although they were not official, but not the numbers of spectators allowed. Le Graët declared that the FFF will make it possible that those 5,000 (a figure now authorized by the Government of France) in the end could be more.
