The CSD and GEICAM sign this Tuesday a protocol for the promotion of sports in the prevention of breast cancer

The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, and the president of the GEICAM Breast Cancer Research Group, Dr. Miguel Martín, will sign this Tuesday a general protocol of joint action for the promotion of sport in the prevention of breast cancer and the improvement of patients during the oncological process, according to a statement.

Both entities will sign their alliance at an event that will be held this Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the CSD headquarters. In addition, a colloquium will be held on the benefits of physical activity in preventing and overcoming the disease, in which the organization’s deputy director general of Women and Sports, Bárbara Fuertes, will participate; Dr. Miguel Martín; the coordinator of the GEICAM Oncological Physical Exercise Program, María Alonso; and breast cancer survivor athlete Carlota Serrano.

Likewise, the #YoDoyDuroPorEll@s campaign will be presented, promoted by GEICAM, which has the institutional support of the CSD and other sports entities, and which asks for society’s support for research on the occasion of World Breast Cancer Day. , which is celebrated this Thursday.
