The Croatian fishing refuge

The state of optimism is declared in Croatia. The national team, after being runner-up in the world in 2018, has once again hooked the whole country. A euphoria that footballers know from what they read and see in the media, because Zlatko Dalic has looked for an idyllic place where they can isolate themselves and focus only on the championship.

The Croats have been concentrated in Rovinj since May 25, located on the Istrian peninsula in northern Croatia. It is a charming fishing village that mass tourism has yet to reach. They are staying at the Grand Park Hotel, which is almost a city unto itself. Located in an exclusive location, in front of the Rovinj Marina, it has three swimming pools (one outdoor and two covered), seven restaurants and a spa with a thermal area where players can recover after training and games.

They train in the field of NK Rovinj (third Croatian), which is located 1.3 kilometers from their luxurious hotel, and to the matches they fly from Pula airport, located just 40 kilometers away. Pleasant climate, luxury and tranquility, away from the media noise that is experienced in the country these days. All this, together with the excellent atmosphere in the national team, have allowed them to once again be among the best in Europe.

They have been concentrated there until this Sunday morning, when they flew to Copenhagen at 10:35 am, the place of the match against Spain. A routine that they have followed throughout the tournament, trying to stay as long as possible in their place of concentration.
