The crisis between Russia and Ukraine will not move the Champions League final

UEFA has ensured this Sunday that “Currently there are no plans” to move the Champions League final from St. Petersburg to another location due to the crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

However, UEFA acknowledged to the German agency dpa that it would continuously assess the situation. The final of the ‘Champions’ is scheduled for Saturday May 28 at the Saint Petersburg stadium, which hosted the 2018 World Cup.

Russia has sent more than 100,000 troops to the Ukrainian border, leading the West to fear an imminent invasion, something Moscow has denied.
