MADRID, 22 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, and the President of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), Alejandro Blanco, signed an agreement on Thursday to promote the sports integration of migrants cared for in the reception system.

The text includes the commitment to build facilities and spaces that reinforce participation in sport in the centers of the system, with the aim of promoting the integration of users in the towns where they are located.

“The agreement contemplates the participation of the COE in the design of future sports facilities, in which the municipalities will also be involved to maximize the possibilities of using these spaces both by migrants and by the rest of the residents of the municipalities”, the COE itself points out.

In addition, the Spanish Olympic Committee explains that, in order to monitor the contents of the agreement, a joint working group has been set up made up of officials from the Ministry and the COE.
