The process of the vote of censure experienced a new chapter this Monday when the Table of the Vote of Censorship was officially constituted, made up of a president, Josep Maria Vallbona, delegate of the Catalan Football Federation, two members of the board of directors, Marta Plana and Jordi Argemí, and the first two signers of the vote of no confidence, Jordi Farré and Josep Triadó. As of Tuesday, September 29 at 9.30 a.m., the Board will have ten business days – Sundays do not count in sports societies- to check if the more than twenty thousand signatures delivered by the promoters of the motion meet the necessary conditions to be validated.
In the statement sent by the club, it already warns that the process will be long and laborious: “According to the Statutes, the Board may invalidate the supports that are not sufficiently accredited and thus carry out the pertinent inquiries to investigate the authenticity.”
It must be remembered that the board has proposed to carry out a triple validation of each and every one of the signatures presented: first by a graphologist, second through a message to the partner to verify that they agree and third with a phone call.
Obviously, the members of the motion consider this process a serious delaying obstacle, since it could be almost impossible to make a thousand calls a day to verify all the signatures.
And it is that October 9 is presented as the last day to validate the signatures. We are talking about a total of 20,687 ballots, the promoters having to overcome a cut of 16,521 for the motion against President Josep Maria Bartomeu and his board to move forward.
