“The causes are being sought”

Barely two months after Mario Vaquerizo’s terrible fall during a concert in Cáceres that cost him a double hospitalization, a cervical injury and a neurological injury that affected his vision, it is Alaska that becomes a patient, as we knew the past Friday for the statement she issued online. The artist noted: “On Monday I had a thrombus in my left eye ‘occlusion of the central retinal vein and macular edema’ with total loss of vision”.

This Monday, a week after suffering the problem, he returned to work in TardeAR. With the eye patch that he already showed on social networks and with Vaquerizo himself on the set, he explained: ““I was walking around the house and my eye was like a Christmas tree, lots of colorful flashes and from there my eye went black.”.

After going to the hospital, he recalled on Telecinco: “It was seen that it was a thrombus, my central retinal vein was affected. I don’t see anything, although now I see a little more. Possible causes are being searched“, he said, about the medical results he is awaiting and the tests he is undergoing.

In this sense, he added: “I think it was stressyou have to look at everything and little by little we will have results. Diabetes, hypertension… That can lead to a situation like this, although it seems not.”

The singer has also explained again that she wears the patch not because it is necessary, but because she prefers not to put makeup on her bad eye as a precaution. Regarding his problem with his eyesight, he reassured: “They have told me that my sight will return, that it will be somewhat slow. These are things that go slowly and we will have to see”.

Mario, as we said, present on the set, has valued the importance of health and has spoken about the desire they have to spend Christmas together after the two setbacks they have suffered. “2024 has been very good except for these last two moments we have had”Alaska has assessed, referring to the fall of Mario and taking stock of the year that we have almost left behind.
