The CAS issued a statement denying the Russian Football Federation’s appeal to suspend UEFA’s sanction against its teams and national teams. In this way, the current situation that was agreed by the UEFA Executive Committee is maintained and that means that all Russian clubs and teams are eliminated from their competitions.
“The President of the Arbitration Appeals Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has denied the request submitted by the Football Union of Russia (FUR) (…). Consequently, the contested decision remains in force and all Russian teams and clubs continue to be suspended from participation in UEFA competitions.“, reads the note.

This ruling, in the absence of possible allegations, confirms the elimination of Russia for the World Cup in Qatar and qualifies Poland directly for the last phase of the playoffs, as announced by FIFA. What’s more, Spain is also favored in the Under-21 category. The Russians, the most direct rival for Luis de la Fuente’s team, are eliminated and that practically classifies La Rojita for the final phase.
THIS IS THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE SUB-21
